Air Force Selects Booz Allen to Support Test and Evaluation Center

Booz Allen to Provide C4ISR Expertise: Builds upon 12 Years of Support For 96TH Test Wing

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The U.S. Air Force has selected Booz Allen Hamilton Engineering Services, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Booz Allen Hamilton, to provide complex technical support to the 96th Test Wing (96th TW) at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Under the terms of the $53 million contract, Booz Allen will provide the 96th TW with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities, as well as other technical, engineering and research management support.

The 96th Test Wing is the test and evaluation center for Air Force delivered weapons; navigation and guidance systems; Command and Control systems, and Air Force Special Operations Command systems. The wing provides expert evaluation and validation of the performance of systems throughout the design, development, acquisition, and sustainment process to ensure the warfighter has technologically superior, reliable, maintainable, sustainable and safe systems.

In addition, the 96th TW performs developmental test and evaluation across the complete system life cycle for a wide variety of customers including: Air Force Systems Program Offices, the Air Force Research Laboratory, logistics and product centers; major commands; other Department of Defense services and U.S. government agencies; foreign military sales, and private industry.

As part of its work for the 96th TW, Booz Allen will provide systems engineering support for all phases of technology transition of C4ISR from development through prototyping, sustainment, and test and evaluation. In addition, the work will involve capabilities related to Digital Video Exploitation and Analysis; 3D Visualization, and Sensors. Booz Allen's work will support the 96th TW in meeting the joint forces mission requirements. And, the Booz Allen team will assist in the management and systems engineering for Net Centric Warfare (NCW) support to the Joint Gulf Range Complex.

The contract is the latest win for Booz Allen's fast-growing Engineering Services practice, an award-winning team with the understanding, knowledge, and capability to ensure the 96th TW sustains momentum for critical network centric upgrades and other technical engineering innovations.

The win builds upon a 12-year partnership between the 96th TW and Booz Allen, during which the company has assisted 96th TW with C4ISR research, development and test initiatives.

"As the 96th Test Wing helps the Air Force deploy new technologies, we will work as an essential partner to help the TW do the same," said Lee Wilbur, a senior vice president with Booz Allen who leads the company's Engineering Services team. "This opportunity builds upon an enduring, productive relationship, while helping the 96th TW chart a bold, productive course for the future."
