Booz Allen Wins Position on Veterans Affairs Contract to Support Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Contract

McLean, VA - Booz Allen Hamilton today announced it was named as a prime contractor on the Veterans Affairs Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology (T4) contract to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in its modernization and transformation efforts. Booz Allen is one of fourteen contractors on the $12 billion indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity award, which has a five-year period of performance. The combined contracts will allow the most efficient use of technology to transform the VA in providing healthcare to veterans and reducing the backlog of benefit claims to deliver real value to America’s taxpayers.

The contract enables Veterans Affairs to acquire services for information technology programs that will help ensure timely delivery of health care and benefits to our nation’s veterans. Winning a spot on this contract allows Booz Allen to compete for task orders to support every aspect of technology transformation throughout the IT lifecycle. Booz Allen has the opportunity to provide support in six broad technical areas: program management, strategy and planning; systems/software engineering; enterprise network; cyber security; operations and maintenance; and IT facilities.

One of VA’s main goals is to provide timely access to benefits and high-quality health care to Veterans over their lifetimes, from the day they enter military service until the day they are laid to rest. T4 will be a major tool enabling VA to meet those goals by closing gaps in transforming programs.

“For nearly twenty years, Booz Allen has served as a trusted partner to the Department of Veterans Affairs, both at headquarters and at many of the VA’s medical centers and regional offices across the country. Through our experience, we have developed a deep knowledge and appreciation of the mission of the VA, as well as the unique requirements and in-depth knowledge of the VA security and technology environment,” said Susan Penfield, Senior Vice President, Booz Allen.

Because of its unique understanding of the VA’s business requirements, Booz Allen set itself apart from typical systems integrators. Booz Allen’s strong track record of coupling its VA, health and business expertise with our expert IT programmatics, architecture, software/systems engineering, cyber technologies and innovations helps it bridge the gap between the VA business and IT community.
