Booz Allen Hamilton Awarded Federal Aviation Administration Nextgen Systems Engineering 2020 (SE2020) Contract

Booz Allen Hamilton Awarded Federal Aviation Administration Nextgen Systems Engineering 2020 (SE2020) ContractMcLean, VA — The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded Booz Allen Hamilton an engineering and program management contract to support the FAA’s implementation of our nation’s Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen).   Under the ten-year contract with an estimated potential value of more than $700 million, Booz Allen will help support the FAA’s evolution to NextGen as part of the agency’s effort to improve safety and bring greater efficiencies to the nation’s airspace system. The contract, which includes NextGen and legacy National Airspace System (NAS) infrastructure support, calls for the provision of a broad range of systems engineering, investment and business case analysis, planning, forecasting and business/financial/information management support services.  
“We are pleased that the FAA has recognized our Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) technical expertise in support of the highly complex NextGen program,“ said Senior Vice President James Manchisi.  “Booz Allen’s SE&I approach brings to bear our technical, business and acquisition management expertise and other skill areas related to government programs.” 
Vice President Brian Legan said, “This combined expertise is critical to supporting the FAA in achieving the complex objectives under NextGen, which requires cooperation and coordination among a large set of government and industry stakeholders.”
Booz Allen has assembled a team that includes large-business partners also known for their analytic, program and portfolio management, engineering and integration skills and their NAS experience.   These include Tetra Tech/AMT, Inc., LMI, MCR and L-3, supported by several small business partners who offer diversity and special expertise in critical areas such as communication, navigation, surveillance, and automation.
