Booz Allen Wins Contract to Help Army Deliver Integrated Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance using Cloud to Warfighter
McLean, VA –Booz Allen Hamilton today announced it was awarded the $87.8 million Army Intelligence Data Cloud Computing (Rainmaker) task order under the Rapid Response 3rd Generation (R23G) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract vehicle to provide software architecture support for the U.S. Army’s Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS-A). Booz Allen will help the Army and the Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (I2WD) continue to build on the DCGS-A’s ability to deliver integrated intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capability to soldiers on the battlefield.
DCGS-A is the transformational Army system that brings all data sets together for analysis, integration, and sharing , supporting operations at the Brigade Combat Teams (BCT) and below, as well as at the Division, Corps, Theater, and Army levels. Able to rapidly process and fuse large databases across all classification domains, the DCGS-A provides intuitive user interfaces for effective and efficient intelligence analysis.
The Soldiers need for advanced ISR systems such as DCGS-A will continue to grow – even within a constrained fiscal environment – and the DCGS-A system’s ability to integrate disparate data from multiple collection platforms, sensors and intelligence sources makes it a true force multiplier.
“The DCGS-A system is a critical capability used by Soldiers around the world, and as a partner to the Army, Booz Allen will continue to support all phases of the system life cycle for this, and other ISR collection systems, improving the collection and processing of data.” said Angie Messer, Booz Allen senior vice president.
“Booz Allen’s support to the Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (I2WD) and partnership with Government on the DCGS-A program is a key component in our portfolio of engagements within the Firm’s Mission Systems business“ said Senior Vice President Greg Wenzel. “Our experience supporting the Government building this critical Army Intelligence system is applied across all our Mission System programs greatly enhancing cross government collaboration as well as creating efficiencies for this and other Government C4ISR programs.”
As a prime contractor on the Army’s R23G contract vehicle, Booz Allen brings innovative systems engineering & integration (SE&I), IT and logistics services to address the operational and technical challenges facing the C4ISR community.
