Booz Allen Wins U.S. Department of Transportation Contract to Support Intelligent Transportation Efforts
McLean, VA — Booz Allen Hamilton announced it has won a contract to help the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) enhance intelligent transportation systems, such as those that allow vehicles, infrastructure, and passengers’ personal communications devices to communicate.The multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract in support of the FHWA Research & Innovation Technology Administration (RITA) Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office (ITS JPO) has a maximum value of $113.8 million over 5 years.
The ITS Joint Program Office is focused on ground-breaking work that will enable a national, multi-modal surface transportation system featuring a connected transportation environment among vehicles, infrastructure, and passengers’ personal communications devices.
Under the terms of the contract, Booz Allen will offer a broad range of technical support services to the ITS Joint Program Office which may include project planning, modeling, and simulation activities; technical project management; systems engineering and integration; business model development; technology recommendations; scope of work development; procurement, deployment, and integration support; and program evaluation.
